I have built a WinPE image for Vista and have it booting properly on a 16GB USB flash drive. I am trying to use it to deploy older ghost images to some of the systems we maintain. I added the ghost.exe file to the mounted image through imageX, and I also copied the same file to the USB drive itself.

Ghostexp.exe is a process belonging to Norton Ghost and provides support for Norton Ghost disk images. Disco grafia download gratis.

I can see the file in both locations form PE, but when I try to launch ghost.exe, it tells me that 'The system cannot find the file' I can copy it to other directories so i know it exists, but it will not let me run it. I was under the impression that you can use 32 bit executables in WinPE? Can anyone help me with this issue? You need ghost32.exe v8.3 (maybe later versions will work as well) plus at least some of the support files - ghostcdr.dll, ghostexp.chm, ghostexp.exe and ghostsrv.exe.

Put them all in a single directory and launch the executable, it works for me. Make sure to map any network drives that you want to load images from/to prior to launching the executable.

We use a PXE boot with WDS, so the actual files are on the distribution server. Our startnet.cmd file looks like this: wpeinit net use h: /user omain_name user_name password net use i: /user omain_name user_name password h: ghost32.exe I have forgotten exactly where we obtained these files from, either Ghost Solution Suite 1.1 or 2.0, I believe.
