I'm on my second line (soon to be third, thanks to the Moab rocks and winching up 5 trucks!) and I haven't noticed any difference across brands of synthetic line. They're all remarkably strong and abrasion resistant. I wouldn't sweat the brand too much. I do see a lot of talk about a Hawse style fairlead and while that's what Slee put on my truck initially, I've swapped that one out for a roller fairlead with no issues.

Carrier model 58sxa080-gg. I've had extreme pulls at multiple angles, too. I'm not going to say I've winched more than anyone else with a 200.

But I bet I'm in the top 5. Here is what I installed. Works great, no issues.

Reviews on Amazon echo the sentiment. It's a great design with no 'pinch' capability from what I can tell, or from what I experienced. Many of the pulls I had to do in Moab were at extreme angles against the rollers. I did have the fairlead actually come off from my bumper towards the end, but I think the nuts worked themselves loose over the extreme environment and pulls, should be easy for me to re-install.

I can't remember if they were nylon lock nuts or cheapies; guessing they were not lock nuts since they came off. In any case, the fairlead itself proved to be a good value. I also agree with what said about a thicker hawse fairlead. When Slee installed mine, I don't know what they were thinking because the Slee fairlead was tucked behind the front-most part of my ARB bumper.

Any pull at an angle caused abrasion on the line, and caused premature failure of my winch line. So whatever you do, make sure the fairlead is front-most on the bumper.
